Medford, OR, Tuesday, November 21st at 11 am, members of the Builders Association of Southern Oregon (BASO) and Hayden Homes, one of the largest homebuilders in Southern Oregon, will deliver over 130 Thanksgiving dinners, feeding approximately 700 individuals, to the City Life Community Center located at 529 Edwards Street in Medford. City Life is a safe place for HWAM and inner-city kids and their families to receive life skills training, educational support, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring.
This is an innovative example of a how a non-profit can reach out to another non-profit by creating a win-win collaborative partnership benefitting the Southern Oregon community. “We’ve been providing Thanksgiving dinners to families in Southern Oregon for over 10 years.” said Brad Bennington, Executive Officer of BASO, “When you have devoted community partners like Sherm’s Food 4 Less, and this year the generous support of Hayden Homes, these partnerships will help even more families enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday. We are reminded, at this time of year, how blessed we are to live in Southern Oregon, this is just one small way to share our gratitude.”
The media and public are welcome to attend the event, Tuesday November 21st between 11 and 11:30am at City Life where the dinners are being delivered by members of the Builders Association of Southern Oregon.
Hayden Homes VP of Community Engagement, Deborah Flagan said, “When this opportunity was presented to us we immediately said, “YES” because of the many deserving families throughout Jackson County that would benefit from the Thanksgiving deliveries. We are honored to be able to assist in providing these families with a healthy and filling meal on Thanksgiving day.”
Builders Association of Southern Oregon is a non-profit education and trade organization that serves the construction community in Southern Oregon. BASO’s three-fold mission to educate, advocate, and motivate its members and the general public to build strong, safe and sustainable communities in Southern Oregon.
