Hayden Homes Announces Expansion in Kalispell With New Homes in Aspen Creek Community

Prices on 47 additional homes will be affordable to middle income earners in Flathead Valley, filling a missing gap in the market
Kalispell, Montana, July 15, 2025 – Hayden Homes announces an exciting expansion in Kalispell, Montana, with the addition of 47 new homes in the Aspen Creek community off Three Mile Drive and Heavens Peak.

The expansion will offer new detached single-family homes from the mid-$400,000s ranging from 1,148 to 2,258 square feet. Attached townhomes will also be offered starting in the high-$300,000s ranging from 1,000 to 1,743 square feet. Homes will be priced specifically to be affordable to middle income earners in Flathead County.

The expansion is a response to Northwest Montana’s significant housing shortage. Similar to many other areas in the Northwest, Kalispell has experienced a severe shortage of affordable housing, particularly single-family homes available to middle income homeowners. The cost of single-family homes has increased significantly in recent years and availability has lowered, increasing obstacles to homeownership particularly for critical median wage members of the workforce, such as teachers, first responders, and healthcare workers.

As of 2023, the City of Kalispell reported that the city’s vacancy rate had reached zero percent. The median home price in Flathead Valley has also risen by 231 percent over the past 10 years, according to the Flathead Valley Housing Market Analysis developed by the Bureau of Business and Economic Research at the University of Montana. With these additional homes in the Aspen Creek community, Hayden Homes will provide new homeownership opportunities that support Kalispell residents to thrive in this challenging housing market.
