We are passionate about supporting the communities in which we work and live and building wealth for our team members and community.<br \/>\nWe are located in Bend, Oregon, and currently have an opening for an <strong>Assistant Controller.<\/strong> If you are seeking a growth opportunity, enjoy working in a small office environment, with the flexibility to be involved in a variety of projects and are detailoriented and organized, this may be the role for you!<br \/>\n<strong>HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE<\/strong><br \/>\nThe <strong>Assistant Controller<\/strong> will be responsible for a variety of accounting and real estate projects,including:<br \/>\nManaging all aspects of real estate deals:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Projections, reviews and analysis.<\/li>\n<li>\u00c2\u00a0Coordinating transactions with lenders, title, accounting.<\/li>\n<li>Organizing and completing documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Following up on insurance, leases, notes, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; Reviewing quarterly and annual reconciliations.<br \/>\n&#8211; Preparing financial reviews.<br \/>\n&#8211; Preparing budgets.<br \/>\n&#8211; Supporting tax planning and tax preparation.<br \/>\n&#8211; Managing and supporting staff accountants.<br \/>\n&#8211; Special projects and other duties as assigned.<br \/>\n<strong>HOW YOU WILL SUCCEED<\/strong><br \/>\nAs an <strong>Assistant Controller<\/strong>, you are an active listener, good communicator, and enjoy building relationships and collaborating with the team. You are a problem -solver, good with following established processes and procedures, but you are also able to seek out information and use analytical thinking to get the job done. You are detail -oriented, highly organized and know how to utilize your time wisely and efficiently to ensure the job gets done in a timely manner.<br \/>\n<strong>WHAT YOU CAN OFFER<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Education<\/span>:<br \/>\n High School diploma or GED required.<br \/>\n Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or related field.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Experience<\/span>:<br \/>\n Four to five years&#8217; previous accounting experience required.<br \/>\n Two years&#8217; previous management experience required.<br \/>\n Previous real estate experience required.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Required Skills<\/span>:<br \/>\n Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, to various audiences.<br \/>\n Ability to organize work flow and work product with a high level of attention to detail.<br \/>\n Ability to produce quality work within tight timeframes.<br \/>\n Ability to managing multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast pace environment.<br \/>\n Ability to creatively solve problems with minimal supervision.<br \/>\n Ability to work with team members collaboratively.<br \/>\n Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites (especially Excel).<br \/>\n Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software.<br \/>\n&#8211; Basic understanding of GAAP.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Travel<\/span>: Approximately 5% annually within local and regional areas.
