\nDecorating is one of the easiest, and most enjoyable, ways to celebrate Cupid\u2019s holiday. You can purchase Valentine\u2019s Day-themed decorations from your local party supply store, or you can make your own. Purchasing red and pink paper and cutting out heart shapes is fun and easy to do, and children will love decorating their hearts with glitter, ribbons, and markers and crayons.
\nMake Cards<\/strong>
\nAnother sweet way to celebrate the holiday with kids is to ask your children to make Valentine\u2019s Day cards. Cards can be made for friends or family, or for those who need a little love in their life. Consider partnering with a nursing home or elderly care center near you, and get a full list of residents. Then, plan for your children and your children\u2019s friends to make Valentine\u2019s and deliver them!
\nFun in the Kitchen<\/strong>
\nKids love to participate in food prep, especially when yummy ingredients are involved. Plan a fun meal or a special treat for your little ones, and work with them to make it fun. For example, you can make mini sandwiches cut in the shape of hearts and serve with pink lemonade. Another fun idea is thinly slicing apples and cutting them in the shape of a heart.
