The Historically agricultural city of Pullman, Washington has flourished into a community with small-town charm and modern cosmopolitan amenities. Home to Washington State University, Pullman benefits from a diverse and international student population, PAC-12 sporting events as well as cultural and entertainment programs.
Pullman benefits in other ways from its well-educated, involved and generous year-round population. Citizens have approved the creation of a metropolitan park district for the purpose of improving, maintaining and acquiring parks and recreation facilities. As a result, this city enjoys 15 distinct parks and natural areas encompassing more than 140 acres as well as more than eight miles of pathways to walk, run, or bike, making Pullman a community of parks and paths.
The city is built upon 4 major hills with main traffic arterials in the valleys. Pullman is located in Whitman County between Lewiston, Idaho (30 minutes to the south), Spokane, Washington (90 minutes to the north), and Moscow, Idaho (10 minutes east) on the rolling hills of the Palouse.
