Eugene

 As Oregon’s second largest city, Eugene is known for its lively and thriving culture. Located at the southern end of the Willamette Valley, where the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers converge, Eugene is also only 50 miles from the Pacific Coast. Home to the University of Oregon, the city’s motto is “The World’s Greatest City of the Arts and Outdoors” and is also called the “Emerald City,” a tribute to its maintained urban forest and the natural beauty of the nearby Willamette National Forest. The city center is bustling with top-notch restaurants, copious shopping opportunities and countless entertainment venues and events. Outdoor recreation is plentiful in the surrounding forests and mountains, and on the nearby rivers and lakes.
